Is chrysanthemum tea safe to drink?

ANSWER:
It is probably OK if you are not an insect. Pyrethrum is made from a particular species grown in the highlands of East Africa and is valued because of its low toxicity to mammals. Some people have allergies or other sensitivities to chrysanthemums, but I am not aware of specific hazards, and don't know anything about what you have there. You are wise to be cautious of herbal teas, though. Sorry i don't have more specific information.
