"Poisonous" does not mean deadly. Some manifestations of toxicity are subtle. The dose, as always, determines if a plant is safe source of nutrients or a toxic hazard.

BRIEF: I have a huge bush that causes rashes. How do I get rid of it?

QUESTION:
I have a huge plant behind my fence. I need to know how to get rid of it since my husband has had two bouts of rashes this summer. The bush is very large, approximately 15' wide and about the same high. Baby shoots come up everywhere. How do I kill this thing. Is there ever a better time of season to take it down?

ANSWER:

Can you send a picture of it or describe it (leaf size, shape, collors, flowers, berries, seeds) or have a gardener identify it for you or send a couple of leaves/flowers/seeds/fruit? I can't offer much advice if I don't know what it is... Along the Niagra River, so close to the Seaway, you may have all sorts of exotic stuff dropping in.
